Hi,
Does anyone know anywhere in Krakow where you can buy international newspapers or magazines? I have tried Empik but they only have Top Gear in English, and I would like to find some other language magazines or more interesting items.

Any tip is appreciated!

At the airport in Katowice I was also able to find a french car magazine, but I am specifically looking for Dutch / Flemish magazines, and going to Katowice for a magazine every week is also not the most ideal option :)

to be honest, i don't know... did you check in the little kiosks with newspapers and magazines around the Main Square?

Check out Galeria Krakowska. There is a huge bookstore on the first floor (unfortunately, I can't recall its name), and they have lots of books/magazines in English. I don't remember if they had international newspapers, but definitely worth a shot.

Empik on the Rynek carry most of the serious English language newspapers - on the rack parallel to ul. Sienna, at the end that's closest to the tills. Camelot also sometimes have English papers that you can read over a coffee.

It sounds very unlikely that you cannot by any English-language newspapers in Empik in Kraków. Here in Warsaw they have them all.
Should not be different at your side of Poland.
Although the weekend newspapers lack prompt delivery on Saturday.
Flemish/Dutch magazines or newspapers? Forget about that. Do like me and read "Knack" or "De Standaard" online...

Yes, the matter is really suspicious. No English publications in Empik??? Has the financial crisis struck so hard?????? :):):)

Try the Sheraton hotel, their kiosk should have a few English language publications and they'll probably be giving away copies of the Herald Tribune and/or USA Today.

It's called the "American Bookstore" I think, located just near the food hall.

Empik has a lot of magazines in English.
For example, on the ground floor just near the cashier are all the current newspapers, as well as current affairs magazines (Time, Newsweek, The Economist, Poland Monthly etc.)

On the first floor, I personally head for the music magazine section - they stock lots of monthly magazines like Q, Uncut, Mojo etc plus NME (newspaper).

Other sections, I couldn't say if they have lots of publications in English.
There is also a large section with books in English on the first floor.

Don't get me started on the prices though. The Sunday Times newspaper for 60 PLN! I don't think so. I can just justify spending almost 40 PLN on a music magazine if you get a free CD, but it is still more than double what you would pay in the UK for the same thing.

The Sunday Times newspaper for 60 PLN!

For that insane price, I'd sit in the store read the paper and leave.
