Please help me find this Polish song (moja droga ja Cie kocham)!

My Grandma used to sing a song to me when I was a little girl that I would love to find...I don't speak Polish, so I need some help.

It sounded something like:
Moya droga yachi koham
Means that I love you so
Moya droga yachi koham
More than you'll ever know

could it be that your grandma made the song up herself? lullabyes are essentially folklore/family things and my Polish mother speaks really good English but never learned any lullabyes in English..so us kids were treated to a mixture of genuine Polish lullabyes & one or two home-made ones in English. moja droga ja cię kocham (my dear i love you) is repeated twice & mixed with English - the verse you quote is a lovely way for a polish grandma who can speak english to lullabye her english speaking grand-daughter. The verse is intended for English (not Polish) speakers to understand...if your grandma didn't make it up then it's most probably of Polish-American origin.

that use to be my favorite song when i was little. 1'm 16 now and i still know every word. im pretty sure it's by bobby.. vinton? something like that. well, i hope that helps!

Oh my gosh! Im 36 and I remember my mother singing that to me! Now I have daughters of my own and I'm so glad I found this email and this song again!! This brought back so many nice memories.

That's not true. Her grandmother didn't make it up, that is Bobby Vinton's Melody of Love.

It is sung by Bobby Vinton...it was not made up. It is a real song played all over back in the 50's I beleive.

Yes, It is Bobby Vinton's song, "My Melody of Love" ...it is both in Polish and English on his song..came out in maybe 70's or early 80's....

Mr. Vinton is also well-known as the Polish Prince. Funny thing... my mom told me originally my dad couldn't stand Bobby Vinton, until he found out he's Polish. Then suddenly he grew a great liking for the Polish performer!

He had to finance the song's release himself, because no record label thought it would do well - and it turned out to be a big success.
