I an watching one of the best polish films, 'Va Bank' on the Russian TV. How it might have been happen, that Poland was able to produce perfect pieces in the times of 'Soviet occupation' (four tankists and dog, va bank, de ja vu and so), and there is nothing today, during independence?

Independence and good times are bad for creativity, there's nothing left to hope for. You've got it all.

I prefer to say Russian occupation. "Soviet" sounds kinda euphemistic to me.
Then, probably you havne't seen any new Polish movie at all.
I'm pretty sure - in Russia movies selection = politics.

And you made my day with nomination of "4 tankisti i sobaka" to sovok's Oscar lol.

This is not the case here. After 1989 not many Poles gained mental independence, this is especially true for so called 'artists'. Many of them are not any talents, just know proper people...

However we are aware of your lack of objectivity on these matters. By the way, why not 'Jewish occupation'?

Quite new to me.
Were Krushchev, Brezhnev and their Vanyas from Tambov Jewish ?

Were 22 millions party members, 42 millions of komsomoltsy all Jews ?

It was the same Russian prison of the nations like in Romanoffs time.
They just changed the name and methods 1917 in order to have more efficiency in mass killings, ethnic cleansings, pacifications etc.

Certainly it is not a prison. I could rather say about Open Stock Company 'Russian Federation', think that this name is more convenient for present situation.

Actually in my opinion word 'Soviet' is accurate. You stick only to such statistics and periods that fits to your wishes.

Leadership of Bolshevik revolution was 'very Jewish'. Lenin was not Jewish, neither a Russian. Himself did not identify with any nation. So how could they be representative to Russian imperial ambitions?

So what ?
Jews together with Poles and Chechens made the most dissatisfied part of the imperial society.
Have you heard of Pale of Settlement ?

Poles and Chechens tried to gain independence, Jews wanted to change the existing social structures .

But in the longer run Soviet leadership became very Russian.
Even having local leaders of non Russian origin Kremlin controlled them using Russian deputies.
And patriotic, quasi imperial feelings were always used to manipulate society in critical times.

Russian despotic tsars and Soviet Union are two different topics. In my opinion you are simply biased against Russians. You have no problems to justify misbehavior of people with other nationality. You look at everything using socialistic criteria of collective guilt. Perhaps instead to search for the nation responsible for suffering of other nations, you should concentrate on this socialistic mentality that brought all of them down? Actually, it flourishing in Europe again!

Well, I think you are wrong.
What you are saying could be a description of the situation we had in Polish cinema about 7-5 years ago.
Now we have a couple of promising new talents like Andrzej Jakimowski or Patryk Vega.
Check out these titles: "Sztuczki"(2007), "Pitbull"(2005)

поздравления

How about this: those who are in the know about Polish films, give us your top five, top ten or top however-many Polish films, then for each one, just make a mention of the year it was produced.

Lesser, cut the anti-Jewish ****. This is about films, not about you indulging in your usual rubbish. Have you mentioned films even once?
