BevK 11 | 248 24 Apr 2009 / #1I actually posted this in the Sports forum by mistake - wondered why it wasn't here. LOL.Are there are AFFORDABLE gyms anywhere other than in the big hotels (waaaaaaaaaay beyond my means!)I'm guessing this is a no then :)
esek 2 | 228 25 Apr 2009 / #2Sure they are!My favourite - 117zl per month for students: fitness-platinum.com.plit's close to 'metro Politechnika' subway station.Other prices not for students:165zl - no entry limits + you can exercise all the time during gym open hours130zl - no entry limits, but you can exercise till 5PMThere is also one really cheap, but I haven't been there and it is far from city center (Praga Poludnie - South Praga) - kaweczynska.pl/sport/silownia.html it seems that it costs only 60zl per month.... nice!
OP BevK 11 | 248 25 Apr 2009 / #3Thanks esek :) Wow that first site has some eye-watering webpage offerings (putting on my glasses and reaching for the dictionary :) )
esek 2 | 228 25 Apr 2009 / #4No prob... maybe this will help a bit:edit:not good... this web page can't be translated as a whole (when you click on some link in menu then content is still in Polish... but you still can use google translator to translate some sentences)

smessenger 4 | 14 19 May 2009 / #8I'm going to head over to Praga and check this one out today. Will report back... I loves me a cheap gym!either no way does this place exist, or my polish is even worse than i thought. walked all around there and found nothing.off to fitness platinum!
new-expat 19 May 2009 / #9Holmes place (in arkadia) does not seem bat either.I've an important question: is anyone here in Holmes Place ? As every gym they don't have a "fixed price" (as in you can't find it in a brochure, the guy writes it down on a paper) and I just want to ensure I won't be screwed if I register. The prices they offer is 200 PLN / month for a one-year contract. What do you guys think ?
sobieski 106 | 2,118 19 May 2009 / #11Gymnasion is really good. They have a chain of gyms all over Poland. I am going to the one in the Olympic Centre here in Warsaw. Costs 700 PLN for six months.gymnasion.pl
db1874 7 | 227 19 May 2009 / #12The prices they offer is 200 PLN / month for a one-year contractHolmes place at the Hilton is min 300PLN a month so sounds like a resonable deal for their Arkadia gym.
new-expat 19 May 2009 / #13Thanks !Do they speak English to Gymnasion ? 'Cause I must admit the guy in holmes place speaks a perfect one.Holmes place at the Hilton is min 300PLN a month so sounds like a resonable deal for their Arkadia gym.Yes but... it's in the Hilton ;) ! Other kind of customers...
