Beach fashion. Are Polish youth into baggy or tighter clothing?

I may be coming from Canada to Poland in a short time, and would like to know if I may need to reconsider my wardrobe to fit into Polish culture more.

Are youth (age 20ish) wearing baggy clothes, or are they more into "tighter" clothes, will I look like a fish out of water if I bring over my regular clothes, or has Poland adopted the 'baggy' look as normal now?

This may seem as an odd question, but I don't want to pack suitcases full of clothes I will feel awkward wearing. Thank you.

I think that just like anywhere you'll find some kids in hip hop gear. I don't think baggy clothes are AS popular in PL though. I've seen more people in tighter cliothes rather than baggy. But, it would also depend on what you're wearing. Some clothes are made to be a little loose. Honestly, I wouldn't sweat it.

If you happen to make it to the beach, be aware that most men wear bikini briefs or tight boy shorts. I was wearing surfer shorts and stood out like a sore thumb, but you wont get a boykini on me :)

I thought we wore the same as everyone else.
I think it boils down to your taste in music.

Hip-Hop = baggy

Rock = black

Thats just wrong - I thought it was just the Greeks, Italians and old men that wore speedos

As for clothing in Poland I saw no big difference in the way men dressed in Krakow to what they dress in the UK...

It seemed to me that the favourite pastime for some Polish men on the beach, was to stand up in thier speedos ( for no particular reason ), arms folded ( so as to push out the biceps ) wearing sunglasses.

LOL

Anyone else notice this ?

I have noticed polish girls taking several positions on the beach but not as to show their biceps.

Not a good look. Maybe if you have six pack but for hairy men with beer bellies it is a definite no no.

In this case you may use a tanga.

I think that you can take some baggy clothes but Poland is generally a bit more traditional when it come to fashion , so in my opinion take some a bit more dressy clothes with you as well, such a couple nice shirts and nice (not baggy) jeans.

Baseball hats are a no, no I believe.

PS. and a pair of speedos of course if you are planning to go to the beach:)

Why not just buy some clothes when you are there ? Save on the packing and stress.

Because you will look like a wonderful polish boy.

Was in Tenerife a couple of years ago, full of Germans. They all seemed to wear these, thought it was part of their National dress!
