What problems do Polish speakers of English have with intonation?

I would like to know how Polish speakers of English find learning English intonation. Intonation is one of the hardest areas of speech to master, yet it is one of the most crucial.

I've never given intonation much thought but I think for most people putting the accent on the correct syllable is very hard.

impossible

Is this due to the teaching or the lack of exposure to real speech?

I work as a voice and accent coach and would like some insider information about areas to look out for.

I don't see the problem here. It's just a matter of listen and repeat [many times].

The biggest problems are the age of the student and who taught them previously.

The student has to watch the teacher speak as well as listen.
