Is there anyways to download or get the polish letters ą ć ę etc etc..... onto an Australia or foreign phone. I have an LG phone and always want to send my boyfriend text messages in polish (which i am learning) and it seems pointless and confusing without the proper letters.
I am not sure. I guess there are means to get polish letters on mobiles. But actually I have never received a text message that had these. It is not at all popular in Poland. I've read somewhere in this forum that using these Polish sings is quite cumbersome.
You may go to centre where people sell/buy phones and ask them about polish language in phones. In good centres they should do it.
Besides, even in Poland we don't write sms with polish letters, because is more useful. So, don't worry, your boyfriend will understand without polish letters very well.
go to the language settings on your phone and set to Polish, but Polish characters use up a lot of memory so what seems to be a short sms tends to get split up into two or more
Hi, I'm afraid it probably won't be as easy as just going to the language settings because in all likelyhood it won't be one of the available languages. you'll need to get what's called a firmware upgrade (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firmware) for your phone. Like one of the other posters said, best to take it to a phone shop, or even better if your phone manufacturer or service provider has a shop, take it to them, they might be able to sort you out with a firmware upgrade (only takes a few minutes).
