You can try byki.com for a start. You can choose any language you want. And it's free for the first few lessons.

Are there any work books anyone has liked? I can find audio, but no written equivalent.

Hazel this is the best money I`ve ever spent.......
Its a little expensive but worth every penny. depending how serious you are.

Look through my posts I seldom ask for a translation.
I do copy and memorize other things from here.
Somethings you cant learn from books etc......
which makes this forum great.........

try "Czesc Jak Sie Masz" it is a textbook and comes with cd ... to use with the lessons it gives in the book ... this book is aimed at beginners and i have it ... plus it is the one the polish person teaching us polish at college uses every now and then and others on the course have got it.

Full details are : polish language textbook for beginners
władysław miodunka
cześć, jak się masz? I
level A1 introduction to polish
comes with a cd you use with some of the lessons(lekcja) inside the book :)
isbn: 83-242-0473-3

universitas.com.pl

according to the inside of the book there is at least 8 books in the series -- whether these are available i dont know as i acquired mine via a polish seller on ebay uk :) brand new and sealed.

I do copy and memorize other things from here.

I cut and paste things to practise from of the board esp. useful translations :) and only ask randomly for them :)
