is it incorrect to say "język ruski / po rusku"

slangish, sometimes may indicate negative attitude.
One note: it is rare to hear "jezyk ruski",simply "ruski" is used.

should i say instead "język rosyjski / po rosyjsku"

correct, literary form

blame my parents!!

If they are Polish, then don't blame them. They may have a reason or two to even bother ;)

i think the reason why does polish people say "ruski" can be also connected with the fact that Russian people use "ruski" word describing their language.

When I was a child I didn't feel the difference between ruski and rosyjski and it wasn't at all connected with negative attitude to Russian People.

We were always corrected by the teachers not to say "ruski" because it's not polite. hahahaha, we did anyway.
