My wife's grandmother used a Polish exclamation that we do't know how to spell so I will do so phonetically. She would say,
"chicatta micatta" when something to the effect of the English, "Good grief" would be appropriate. Anyone have any ideas? Your help much appreciated,

Thank you so much. Anna. My wife thinks that is probably it. Her grandma was quite a cook and loved serving everyone meals, especially the men in the family. Best wishes,
