Hi,

I would like to write to the parish in Lubno and found this address. Could someone show me how to put it on an envelope to Poland?

sw.Jana Chrzciciela, Lubno 91, 36-065 Dynow, Lubno, PL

I don't think you need to write Lubno again, but if that's the address they gave you, then maybe you should have it on there.

I forgot to thank you for your help. I sent it out a couple days after this post. I guess it's up to the priest, or whoever runs the church, to help if they plan to.

You can write:

PARAFIA RZYSKO KATOLICKA
LUBNO
36-065 DYNOW
woj. PODKARPACKIE
POLAND

P.S.
Have a nice day, Joe

Off topic (since joseph kustra [Guest] digged up a thread almost 2 years old):

but you can... it doesn't hurt, you know...

it makes sense only when you don't know the ZIP code, otherwise is quite redundant.

It's not off-topic if the replies are still relevant...

People like writing superfluous lines in the address because it makes them feel better about it, more secure in the knowledge that it will get there, or at least that they themselves know where it is supposed to be going.

I like to add

UK
Europe
The Western Hemisphere
The Northern Hemisphere
The Earth

on my letters... that I write to myself.

Hey that's quite funny!

There is some point to writing superfluous lines on the address label, because addresses are stored in a single place by most people, and are often communicated to their acquaintances, for both sending/receiving post and for visiting places.

Thus, it's no harm to leave on the locality or region, even though it's not required in some cases. If it's left on an address, it helps those who use that address to navigate their way when visiting someone.

If I want to add the neighborhood (dzielnica) to the address, where do I put it, before the address or at the end?

street address,
city, province
neighborhood

or

some other variations?

If I want to add the neighborhood (dzielnica) to the address,

I don't think it's necessary, but it probably be like this:

Sz.P. John Doe
ul. Roosevelta 124/37
00-800 Warszawa-Mokotów
Poland / Polska
