Smoking is a big deal.
I've smoked on & off for all of my adult life, & I'm damned envious of anyone who has never smoked. If you've never smoked you will never crave nicotine, which is one of the most highly addictive drugs known to man.

I am a smoker even when not smoking; I still crave one occasionaly, & can start VERY easily.
If smoking were banned full stop, it might take a while for smokers to get over it but people would never become addicted again.
