News / Poland to join the Schengen zone the beginning of next year [36]

It depends on what the purpose of your visit is. Poland has been moving towards the Schengen for sometime now. The rules won't be so radically different. From my experience, i can say that Schengen rules are very specific (therefore easier to conform to) than the guidelines put up by Polish embassies until now.

When Poland enters the Schengen zone, will all of their immigration procedures match those of the rest of the Schengen countries? Or does immigration have nothing to do with this?

Do other Schengen countries have such a thing as a 'temporary' residence permit? I believe that this is a card and the holder need not have a visa in their passport. If one is travelling from outside the Schengen zone to a Schengen country (other than Poland) holding a Polish temp residence card and no visa, are they allowed into that country?
