USA, Canada / looking for polish community near yardley, pa [7]

Well there is the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA. Also, Philadelphia (about 30 minutes from yardley) has a big Polish population. Check out Polish Home-Dom Polski in Philadelphia, and the Polish American Cultural Center, polishamericancenter.

If you don't mind me asking..how old are you?

Is there something like "mapquest" that provides directions for destinations in Poland?

USA, Canada / Any Polish from the Philadelphia Area [8]

Ukranians don't live in Port Richmond! I mean there are some, but Port Richmond is mostly Polish. Allegheny Ave and Richmond Street is full of Polish stores, and Saint Adalbert (Sw. Wojciecha) is a huge Polish parish on Allegheny Ave.

There is also a Polish and Polish-American community closer to Penns Landing in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia with Saint Laurentius (Sw. Wawrzynca) as the Polish parish there.

Bridesburg is the second largest Polish neighborhood in Philadelphia. Saint John Cantius Church (Sw. Jana Kantego) is the Polish parish there. Polish people mainly settle around the Polish churches throughout the city.

There is also a scattered population of Poles in Northeast Philadelphia, who live around Dom Polski (Polish Home) on Academy Road, although there is no Polish church in the Northeast.

Suburban Polish areas include Conshohocken/Bridgeport, in Montgomery County, as well as various parts are Bucks County, which is close to The Czestochowa Shrine and Polish neighborhoods in Trenton, NJ.

There are a lot of Poles in and around Philadelphia (3rd largest Polish metropolitioan area in USA), many Polish organizations and clubs, churches, etc. I am a big "Polish history" and "Polish American history" freak, so if anyone was interested in the various Polish organizations, etc. in Philly just e-mail me at: amcwisniewski@yahoo
