Is there anything worth watching from an English speakers perspective?

I know they have champions league football and formula 1, anything else?

I need to call a UK 0800 number to activate a card. I thought if i dialed 0044800 (and the following numbers) it would work - but I'm not having any luck.

How can i dial a UK 0800 number from Poland?

Help appreciated, thanks.

Life / Media Markt in Wroclaw - returning merchandise [8]

I bought a dodgy usb analog tv adapter at the media markt in Wroclaw the other week. How easy will it be to return/exchange it. I've only just arrived and my polish is very poor. I once exchanged an mp3 player from media markt in spain and i remember they had a separate location for the returns department. I bought the tv adapter from the media markt in the shopping center.

With will any luck will someone speak English and if not so (or i find somebody to help me) how easy will it be to return?

Cheers for any help guys

Life / Surviving the Polish Winter [27]

Do any of you guys have any tips for getting through the polish winter? I've never been to the country before and was wondering what it's actually like.

I've heard it can get as low as -20C, i don't know if this is an exaggeration or not. Do people avoid heading out at nights due to extreme cold, or is it tolerable providing you have the right clothing?

I'm moving to Poland next month and was wondering whether to purchase myself some warm clothing before flying over, however i think it would be just as easy to buy stuff like that in Poland.

Life / Polish PAYG sim/Network [24]

Merged: sim card - Essentials for moving to Poland

I'm moving to wroclaw in a couple of weeks to start teaching English. A situation that a lot of people here may be in.

I was just wondering if there are an essentials you would recommend i take with me (other than the obvious).

Also, a polish sim card would obviously be important - what would you recommend and where would be the easiest place to get it?
