Law / Any news concerning Poland entering Schengen group? [4]

You will not be forced to legitimate yourself with your ID anymore when entering the country from the 1st of January next year on. However, when entering the country by airplane, they will still check your ID until March, as far as I remember the news. They have been published only a few weeks (maybe 2) ago. You should find something on that on the web.

Travel / Visiting girlfriend in Poland for Christmas, need some advice [15]

Don't worry. Polish people love when foreigners try to speak their language. Actually, these language and cultural differences will give you additional comfort as you will surely not be blamed for anything you do incorrectly regarding Polish habits. Your girlfriend wants to introduce you even to her grandmother, so she thinks it is the right time and that there will be no problems. Trust her :)

And as soon as you have drunk some glasses of Vodka, you will start to speak Polish like a native speaker ;)

Travel / Taxi cabs in Krakow [9]

If you go with radio taxi, it's very cheap. But if you take ordinary taxis, they are far more expensive.
Google for "radio taxi krakow 919". The first hit is their webpage.

From this basic position your click the tongue backwards, its tip showing upwards and moving backwards.
