Food / Where is the best place to eat pierogi in Poland? [24]

There is a small wooden restaurant at the bottom of Kuznice in Zakopane - Kolibecka - Pierogi from there is..... no words! DELICIOUS is not enough! I have eaten in many many places in Zakopane and love my pierogi but Kolibecka is something else! It's such a tiny little place as well, you usually end up sharing a table with a few other people but it doesn't matter! the food is what they are all there for!

Life / Polish speed cameras [37]

Hard to say isn't it! A lot of new cameras have appeared between Krakow and Zakopane in the last couple of years with the new road being built, when i first drove that route there were non but now there are quite a few dotted along the way, which are hard to spot in Poland as well! In the UK you get the big yellow box that can be seen a mile off and in Poland the dark grey boxes that just creep up on you! Hard to just ignore them though because as soon as you do we all know what happens!

Travel / Zakopane in April [7]

You say April/May - I think you will be fine weather wise, especially as the roads are usually kept well anyway, even during the cold and snowy times of winter - the road is not so "hilly" more a gentle steady climb - not a problem if you are a serious biker! Enjoy!
