Travel / Tour guide in Gdansk [4]
Hi,
I am a new person on this website. However, I am a licenced tourist guide with a comfortable 7-seater and I am willing to assist you .
The usual itineraries are the following:
[b]Gdansk old town - walking tour - see old harbour of Hansa city with Crane Gate - symbol of Gdansk, Green Gate designed as Royal Residence, Long Market Square with Neptun's Fountain, Artus Court, Town Hall, Kings Road, Golden Gate, Torture House, Great Armoury, St. Mary's Church with mysterious astronomical clock, lovely Mariacka Lane with its terraces and amber jewellery.
Time for refreshments and shopping. Solidarity Square - Monument / Walesa history - fight for democracy /.
Stuthoff-the former Nazi Concentration Camp
During this tour you will learn about dramatic chatper in Polish history: Nazi occupation, but also will be strolling in Gdansk - a gem of ancient Polish Kingdom.
Meet your local tour guide and go first to Stutthof Concentration Camp - created by the Nazis close to Danzig / Gdansk / at the very beginning of Word War II in Europe. Place of extermination of inmates from 23 lands, place of Holocaust thousands of Jews. Gate of Death, authentic huts, watch towers, gas chamber, crematorium, ashes - all this reminds tragic, cruel story. Mortification, degradation, inmates horrible living conditions, extermination by hunger,murderous work, gassing, mass shooting, hanging,"needlings" witch ended "medical attention" - all employed here for "final solution".
After 1,5 hour drive back to Gdansk - visit of Old Town: Old Crane machinery, Long Market Square with Neptun's Fountain, Town Hall, Golden Gate, Torture House, Arsenal, St. Mary's Church , Mariacka Lane with its terraces and amber shops. Short time for shopping / refreshments and drive back to your hotel.
Oliva Cathedral, Sopot and Gdynia
the Teutonic Castle in Malbork - the largest fortress of Europe.
All the above highlights can be put together on your itinerary depending on your time and
preferences.
