Life / Where can i get a real good piece of juicy steak in Warsaw....? [15]

Based on magdalenaG's deescription, I drove past Pulawska to look for the place. found it and tried buying some beef. It is located on 176/178 Ul. Pulawska, has a bright yellow canopy. The name of the shop is "MIESO WEDLINY". It is actually located in the corner building between Pulawska & Domaniewska street, on the side of Pulawska.

Besides beef, they have pork, chicken, sausages, ham as well as sauces. Beef I bought was fresh, tasted good and was reasonably priced, although I was not able to learn what cut it was because the staff did not seem able to converse in English

Life / Differing Brand Names In Poland/Europe and the UK [20]

I heard from my colleague that there was a TV ad in the past stressing how to pronounce "Cadbury", as most Poles did not how to pronounce it, let alone trying to find it in the supermarket. Still, even after this effort, the manufacturer gave up and adapted with a local name. It slipped my mind ......

Some brands could be hard to pronounce or have a different meaning, which is why some brands had to adapt or change.

Life / Where to find BEEF in Warsaw ? [14]

Based on magdalenaG's deescription, I drove past Pulawska to look for the place. found it and tried buying some beef today. It is located on 176/178 Ul. Pulawska, has a bright yellow canopy. The name of the shop is "MIESO WEDLINY". It is actually located in the corner building between Pulawska & Domaniewska street, on the side of Pulawska.

My boss told me there is a good steak shop on the east side of the river but he did not give me the address yet. Once I have it, will update you all.

If you crave for value-for-money "western meal", try the Alim Decor, one of them can be found on the ground floor in mall Arkadia. It is tuck in the left hand corner of this furniture shop, which is hard to notice. Cuisine is supposedly french but the menu offering seems quite diverse.

Enjoy!
