Language / Hurra Po Polsku [10]

I am probably a bit late for this topic, but I thought I would give my recommendation for this course to anyone else considering it.

I did a two-week course at the school in April and it was great. All the staff were very helpful at setting up my accomodation and helping me get around the City. The teachers and guides used were helpful and enthusiastic. The family I stayed with were very kind and the house was nice and close to the school.

The cultural visits were great too especially the Jewish concert and restaurant we visited in Kazimierz and the trip to Zakopane and the Tatra mountains

Only reservations:-
1) The classes are only in Polish so I would recommend knowing some Polish before you go (Although all the teachers do speak English if you get really stuck)

2) The school is about an hours' walk from the old town, so learn to use the tram

Language / Czesc, Jak sie masz. (Book for learning Polish). [7]

I bought my copy through Grant and Cutler, a London-based foreign language bookshop.

grantandcutler.com

It is written by the guy who runs the "Polish for language for foreigners" course at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.

I found the book to be a useful book to work through on my own (It's in English). If I am with a teacher I use Hurra po polsku, which is written in Polish.
