Genealogy / The origin of the name "Kosinski"? [2]

I would very much like to know the origin of my family name "Kosinski". My father's ancestors came from South Poland in the Carpathian Mountains, but the meaning of the name and whether or not we have a coat of arms and related details are mysteries to me. I am the only member of my immediate family still alive and I have no living aunts or uncles to ask. Can anyone enlighten me here?
