News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

What if some mad Catholic started preaching that contraception does not prevent AIDS? Would you beat the sh1t out of him? No, you encourage these savages.

You are bigoted hypocrite and you can't even see it.

I think you miss the point of what are called "standards" or "beliefs". The whole point is to be discriminating against beliefs you don't agree with. So, in a largely Catholic society someone who preaches that contraception does not prevent AIDS wouldn't really be out of the norm. In fact, many may agree. Not really hypocritical then. And the intolerance of Muslim preaching and culture may be justified due to having knowledge about said culture. So then it wouldn't be bigoted.

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

What, the woman doesn't fukk back?

Kapusta, lol, isn't that amazing? These men are still trying to tell women what to do...but when the shoe is on the other foot...it's a different story. I'm a guy and I can only imagine the fear of being pregnant, the guy leaving me, and I have a child to raise with no assistance. No one that's telling a woman to keep that child is going to step in and assist her. Not one of these men preaching right now. Many of them will be the first to say, "it's not mine...where's their father?"

You do know that when Roe v Wade was decided, all 9 justices where men right? 7 voted for, 2 against. Seriously, you have some retarded arguments.

Aww ABORTION IS EVIL!!!!!!!!!!! And to al you women that dont like it to fucken bad I wll say it all I want.

How old are you? I'm against abortion but you're not helping.

State it as clearly as you like, you'd still be wrong, one thing creates dysfunctional elements and thats poverty and lack of opportunity.

You're not looking at the foundation. What creates poverty and lack of opportunity? Also, what ensures that people will use riches and opportunity wisely?

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

I'll answer with this phrase I have been using previously:

If men could get pregnant...abortion would be a 100% accepted procedure and there would not be a discussion surrounding it.

It is a woman's issue. It is her body to do what she wants with it. The minute she came to the understanding that her body was/is hers...it became hers. In other words if something had happened to it before she/he came out of the birth canal...it wouldn't have made a difference, right?

I've been trying to reply to this for five minutes but your answer just isn't very clear and there is alot of sidestepping in there. "If men could get pregnant" has nothing to do with the question I asked.

essentially you don't want someone telling you what to do with your own body.

What is a "body" ? Can you give a detailed description as to what it is exactly that separates human bodies from one another and gives the designation of "own body" ?

Work / Opportunities for Fluent English/Polish Speakers? [7]

I'm a native English speaker and about C1 CEFR level Polish fluency. I took ACTFL oral test and I scored "superior". I also have a Bachelors degree. I know I can get work teaching English easily but what type of bargaining leverage does being bilingual give me in general for any job? Is it a "big deal" or just another skill?

Typical examples of White Nationalists in America. Notice they are all fat and ugly? That's because that's the type that joins such organizations here.

I asked for a definition, not examples. But with your examples you've shown me some things about yourself:

1) You look down on individuals who are disfigured.
2) You look down on individuals who are fat and ugly.
3) You don't like blue overalls.

Sameness are you white nationalist?

Would depend on your definition of white nationalist. There are alot of interpretations of this and other stances so I try not to really give myself any labels. I could even be called pro-diversity since I am for diversity on a world wide scale. And to preserve this diversity you have to have fairly uni-racial/ethnic and uni-cultural nations.

What's really disconcerting is that individuals who are pro multiculturism/diversity already are living in a diversity paradise. Only 250 years ago there were around 750 million humans on the whole planet. Now there are 6.5 billion. An increase of over 800%. If that isn't diversity, then what the hell is?

This is not question of race, this is question of culture...

But isn't culture a manifestation of the organism? The genetics produce the culture.

Another PC paradox.

How about this one: "Celebrate our differences" and "We are all the same". Freakin' delusional at best.

Also here is an interesting fact. According to the Tuskegee institute, 1 out of 4 people "lynched" in the history of this country were white

Right, what you'll notice is that proportion wise, the number of whites lynched vs blacks matches current and historical index crime levels (mostly murder, rape, robbery). Back in the day, lynching was simply vigilante punishment for crimes (actual or perceived).

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

Women were created to bear children, that is their sole purpose, if a woman aborts a child she forfeits her right to live as a human being.

That's a little rough there Sokrates. Is this just for shock value or do you genuinely believe a woman's sole purpose is just to bear children? What does that mean to "forfeit your right to live as a human being"?

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

Complete misunderstanding. Sorry I made you miss my point. I don't have the guilt you are talking about.

Ok, so why are you drawing up these scenarios? Why even bring it up as a reason why not to bring another human into existence? My understanding is that you're trying to avoid the suffering that may be placed upon a human because they will be thrust into one of these scenarios you're talking about.

Where did I say that the life's worth in the hedonistic values?

I'm not saying you did. I'm asking. The reason is that you mention that there are moments where existence is worthwhile and pleasurable. So what is it about these moments that make it so?

Who knows that better parents or society?

You're kind of getting to the heart of the matter here. Who should make laws that go to the heart of ethical issues? It could be said US society condemns hitting a child as punishment. You can get in trouble for that. But who knows better? Parents or society how to discipline a child? It's really about individuals who have a strong sense of ethics and then go on to make the laws.

I don't make one rule for all. You are actually making it. I am just saying that each parent has a right to decide, not society making a law.

Ok, point taken about making the one rule. But why should abortion be this one thing that parents should have a right to but society can't deny it? And you use the word parents, but does that include the father as having a right to stop an abortion or to initiate one? What about having a law that says parents have a right to a choice to whip their children? What exactly is it about abortion that there should be a choice?

I don't know exactly what you meant here, but if you say that child can be killed after the birth, I consider it wrong.

I meant that if a child is born into suffering, others can help if the mother can't. As far as the birth thing, there are laws right now that if you are a robber and you kill a mother and her 4 month fetus in the course of a robbery, you will be charged with two murders. Do you agree with this? Shouldn't the charge be a civil one like "taking away the right to choose"?

This was already third time that he suggest my supposed religious fanaticism discussing about abortion, of course he cannot provide any statements of mine that would confirm this claims. Perhaps you will help him to provide some quote?

The other thing I see is that people can be "fanatically" against abortion even as atheists. This focus on religious fanaticism is arguing past the issue. Even if you would get through religious fanaticism you haven't really dealt with the source of the issue. The source is simply strong moral feeling. But why do many feel abortion is wrong? Why do so many logical arguments against or for abortion not change people's minds? That's the real question.

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

Those who are truly inferior are people like z_darius (and SamenessLove, if it is not the same voice), racists, white supremacists, and Nazis. This is regardless of your race, despite the fact that you have a sheen of "superior" white skin to cover up what is inside - hatred towards fellow human beings.

Interesting. So you do believe there are "inferior" people. Inferior how? Is it my intrinsic value as a human? And what does it mean to have value as a human being? Does hatred of other humans automatically lower the intrinsic value of the one doing the hating? What exactly is it about hatred that's so bad?

Yes, the influx of Poles to England adds to this problem. Most of it comes from the non-Caucasian third world though. Poles are Caucasians and even though they may have different propensities for crime or other negative social issues, they are capable of integrating with the English to a degree that is manageable. Racism is a reaction, not a cause. Then the bureaucracy of individuals who are hell bent on stamping out a natural reaction (racism) to the forced influx use force to suppress the reaction. This force has to be authoritarian and leads to loss of freedom.

But irregardless, the influx can harm English identity and culture. There are many English who are not happy with the Polish influx of immigrants. As a Pole who does not wish unmitigated immigration into my nation, I sympathize with them.

What I am truly against here is those who incite racial hatred under the disguise of "resistance to multiculturalism". I would like to draw your attention to the posts recently written by SamenessLove (z_darius) in the relevant threads. If you still could not see any justification of what I wrote, SamenessLove (z_darius) would agree with you.

"Incitement to racial hatred". What does that mean exactly?

What is the problem? Pain and suffering? Injustice maybe? Do you for any moment consider that those who are against multiculturalism ALSO see pain, suffering, and injustice? Do you think that this racial hatred you speak of occurs in a vacuum? "Just because"? It is a defensive reaction, not "preemptive aggression".

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

How many children would be able to come up to me on gangrenated legs, swollen from hunger bellies covered in flies, or those who were tortured by their parents and these kids "succeded" in what?

You're drawing up these very horrible scenarios from "If they cannot take care of the future child"? That's a huge leap. It's a far cry from not being able to take care of a child and the suffering you propose. You're looking at the exception to the rule and then making a rule for everyone so that the exception does not occur. Scenarios like you present are rare in Western nations. These are not wide spread problems for Western man. You're talking mostly about third world problems.

After that she can't do anything.

Others can do something. Can't they?

I don't think that existence is a pleasure. There are things in life that make this existence worthwhile and pleasurable, but in itself it is empty and senseless.

I can appreciate what you're saying here. I don't know how much philosophy you get into but maybe your issue is to simply become Nietzshe's superman. Or maybe Kierkegaard's leap to faith might be your deal. How much of our value in existence is rational? But then the other thing that you have to ask yourself is what is it about the "existence" of things that make our existence worthwhile and pleasurable? Is it just the hedonistic value?

You say of me that I am a misanthrope. Maybe. But maybe you never felt hunger and disease caused by lack of food and medical treatment, never saw death of bodies and minds, sufferings beyond your imagination of sitting in front of TV and watching a documentary and letting a tear run down your face and then running to pick some ice-cream from the fridge because the movie changed the balance of nutrients in your pampered body.

I sense guilt here for being in a position where you're not suffering while others are. This will tear you up inside. Some things are just not your fault. You have to let go. I don't feel guilt because I've never felt starvation hunger or because I have never been ravaged by disease. Think about the alternative. Would suffering as much as those in your scenarios remove your guilt or make things better? No it wouldn't. It would just add to the problem. Your a SUCCESS. You want a world with people who suffer less right? You're one of those people. Letting go of that guilt doesn't mean you are indifferent to it, can't do something about or don't care though. It's just not productive to have that yoke around your neck.

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

I consider abortion an absolute choice of those who created an embryo or fetus. If they cannot take care of the future child it is better to kill her/him now than to kill him/her slowly in constant yellings, poverty, unattention, unlove, beatings etc.

You're not allowing for a more ethereal human pleasure of simply existing. What if a child who grew up in such an environment as you talk later came to you and said "Even though I grew up in a home with yellings, poverty, unattention, unlove, and beatings...I was able to overcome that and become a productive member of society. And now I'm helping other children rise out of that situation. I was able to withstand the suffering and so can many more"?

Are you that much of a misanthrope that you would not bring humans into existence simply because there might be a chance they will suffer? And it's not a suffering that can't be overcome. People in slavery still have children and do so with joy. Where is your human spirit for enduring suffering to bring about something better?

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

Hitler's problem was his approach. It was in how he went about resisting universalist ideologies, not that he did. His motivations resulted in revenge and aggressive war. Your comment brings up a good point. How should a nation should go about resisting multiculturalism to retain moral standing in the eyes of other nations and even the world? But there is a danger in that also, as you can't satisfy everyone. In addition, we all know that history is written by the victors, so it could be said that Hitler's problem was that he lost, regardless of what he did, how he did it, or what his motivations were.

Poland naively embrases the EU wholeheartedly.

This is what saddens me. The EU is a bureaucratic leech that will suck the lifeblood of every people that show even one shred of respecting it or desiring to have its acceptance. Any nation in Europe has an opportunity right now to gain respect and strength....by thumbing their nose at the EU. But they must do so with conviction. Unflinchingly. The EU gives momentary pleasure for a lifetime of pain.

I think that only women should discuss abortion rights since it directly concerns them. Somehow, men are the majority in making those policies and I don't think it's fair.

And what of the man who wishes to have a child? Does he have no rights? Men are at the mercy of women if they wish to have progeny. Is this fair?

i've never been so confused in my life i have no clue what to do as both keeping or aborting the baby will be hard...

I don't think you are confused at all. Deep down, you know what the correct course of action is. You have a moral code, so live by it. You know what you ought to do. What is the course of action that will cause you the least guilt? You do know what it is.

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

Individuals promoting "multiculturalism" for Poland are predators. They promote the destruction of the uniqueness of a people. England is a shining example of the weakness of multiculturalism. The destruction of cities, the increase in crimes, social problems, and destruction of freedoms.

Drunk on moral indignation and self-righteousness, the promoters of multiculturalism believe somehow that it is a harm not to open the floodgates to the third world. That it is some moral wrong. There is no moral wrong here. The moral wrong is in allowing communities to die. In destroying sameness. This is the moral wrong.

If you want a multicultural world, you should want sameness. For what good is your multiculturalism when no nation can express a unique genetic footprint? How drab it would be to look upon a world where no nation is authentically unique?

Those who love sameness and the uniqueness of the Polish people, you are in the moral right. When historians write books a hundred years from now the glory will go to the nation of Europe that resists the destruction of multiculturalism. All others will be written off as fools.
