Life / Parents raising their childrens babies in Poland [4]

Hi,

Is it normally in Poland for girls to leave their babies with their parents and have them raise them. I have met two girls from Poland and they both have their parents raise their babies while they pursue other things? This seems unusual to me here in the US, but I am curious if culturally this is normal?
