USA, Canada / Why would someone leave Poland for the US? [120]

I'd like to leave Poland for US (for few years if not forever) mostly to continue education. Who writes the gratest textbooks, who's the leader in science if not the Americans?

I'm really tired with today's Poland. Of course I'm proud of the heritage and tradition but the goddamned post-communist soviet spirit mixed with eradicated, uniform UE mass create a monster together...

I'll quote one polish writer and journalist Ziemkiewicz: "Life in Poland remains swimming in pudding - it's possible but every move takes two times more energy".
