News / Polish engineer beheaded in Pakistan. [347]

As in Christianity, etc. there are different sects of Islam with varying agenda and differing degrees of fanatacism. Being a moderate or an advocate of terrorism doesn't make them imposters

That is very interesting, but I have never heard of a mercy killing carried out "in the name of christianity". Sounds to me that they can interpret the religion any way which suites them on any particular day.

Perhaps I am wrong, but from what I interpreted from your well articulated piece, there appears to be a "bully mentality"amongst the muslim communities. The less educated are exploited through no fault of there own, and the well educated are afraid to speak out, for fear of repercussions. Leaving the tyrants to rule the religion.

They are driven more by weird convictions rather than by necessity as you seem to imply

No they are driven by f..... up backgrounds from birth, nothing to do with convictions or religion. They are a disgrace to the muslin faith, I don't know why more dedicated genuine muslims dont speak out and enlighten the world to these imposters of their genuine faith.

UK, Ireland / Here comes the Anti-Immigration marches.... [114]

theres so much more racism in the North of England.

I don't believe that there is more racism in the North of England than anywhere else in the country. It is just that people from the North say what they think at that moment, whereas other people from certain parts of the country tend to be more reserved about their thoughts, it does not mean that they do not exist.

There are loads of places in the North East where ethnic minorities have lived together for generations without any trouble.

News / I love Poland because... (in 10 words or less) [182]

I love Poland because I have some great memories of my daughters first school there cycling to school in the snow to a small school just outside the rynek, and speaking to me in english and turning to a friend almost instantly and speaking polish fluently. I remember I was so proud of this, as it was word perfect and I could not speak a word.

Love / meaning of receiving empty text [21]

remenber reading on this forum that its a polish thing- that when an empty text is sent its a sign that the person is thinking of you.

is this correct?

It is not an empty text, it is a telephone call once, then the caller ends the call. It is a signal to show that they are thinking about you.
