Adjective endings in the statement "Kobieta ma długie włosy" [6]
Ok, I hope someone can help prevent me from going mad. I'm trying to get my head around adjectives endings agreeing with the gender of the noun. The phrase "Kobieta ma długie włosy" appears in Rosetta Stone and it has me confused. Maybe I'm confused because there is some other magical case that is coming into play here that I am yet to cover. Maybe I'm confused because Rosetta Stone doesn't explain anything.
Anyway, the thing is, I thought "włosy" was a masculine noun, so I would have expected the word "long" to be written as "długi". Additionally, "kobieta" is feminine, so which part has to agree with which?
Can somebody please explain this in a, bite sized, "Polish for Dummies" style format, so that my poor brain can understand what is happening? :) Thanks.
