Genealogy / Brajcki anyone? [7]

Hi my name is Keturah Brajcki. I live in California U.S.A. My Dad(John Casmeir Brajcki) is dead and I want to know more about my family with out having to talk to my Grandmother whom just came into my life when my Dad passed away. I don't like her to much. There are words that I have been hearing about if I went to Poland and said my last name I could be hung? But if they Re-enstated the crown it would go to my uncle(Jerry Casmeir Brajcki). I want to know if any of this is true. I'm told many things about my heritage that I'm not so sure is true. Like a big nose and dark skin. I am 13 and am living with my Aunt on my Mother's side. I am very interested about Poland and my heritage, I would also like to travel there one day, But if these rumours are true I don't think it would be safe or a good ideal to go. I am told about a statue with my families last name on it(Brajcki). Is that true? I really am interested in my culture. I do not think I am full Polish but close to it. I am what you can call a mut I guess! Haha. You have to laugh sometime. I would talk to my Grandpa about finding out more stuff about my back round because he is into geneology , But he doesn't respect the Polish people. He would make fun of me every day.
