Life / Antisemitism in Poland; is it safe for a Jew to live in Poland? [193]

not gonna lie, im quite upset by what ive been reading here, almost as if there is some sort of conspiracy that the jews are playing onto general people.

Afew points have been made, valid ones. Like why are Jews over represented in parliaments, with more Jewish MP's than the demographic.
Education is the most central value for Jews, everything else becomes irrelevant for a parent, giving your child a good secular and jewish education is very important to people. This is shown in the UK 2001 Cencus where it indicated that 55% of all Jews aged between 25-34 have a university degree compared with 28% of the general population, the statistics are different in every country, but mostly similar. In the United States the number is alot higher.

Another reason for Jewish peoples success is that they were immigrants/refugees in almost all of the modern world, and all immigrants aspire to become successful and leave their immigrant status behind. Real incentive has fueled all of this.

These statistics explain why there are lots of successful Jewish businessmen, laywers, doctors etc... Not some crazy conspiracy theories.

Im probably going to be slated now by people who seem to have something against Jewish people.

Life / Antisemitism in Poland; is it safe for a Jew to live in Poland? [193]

Hi,

I am planning on relocating to Poland in september to start a business. My father was born in warsaw in 1944, and his parents somehow got themselves and him out of the country. I am Jewish.

As you might imagine, my father is not thrilled at the idea of me moving to Poland as my family, as with many Jewish families have very tragic history in Poland and the eastern bloc. He is also very worried about antisemitism in poland, although i am not obviously a Jew at first sight, i do wear a star of david necklace on the outside on my t-shirts etc...

Is there a problem with anti-semitism in Poland, is it safe for me to go there without any fear?

I would be gracious for any replies.

Thank You,

Adam
