Work / English people working in Poland [15]

Been thinking about it as my other half is originally from PL, we love it over there - we are over at every opportunity. Bought some land 7 or 8 years ago just outside of Poznan and would love to rent the house out here in the UK and just spend a few years quality time with the family, learning new things and experiencing the culture (which I love) - Only issue is the job.

Seanus - I hear what you say. As a qualified UK solicitor, I was hoping to get something in-house as opposed to working for the judiciary. Doesn't Lech need a UK lawyer??? I would love that! :-)

Work / English people working in Poland [15]

Hi

I would like some info in relation to english people working and living in Poland. I have been considering it as an option for quite some time, however, given my specific skill set (and current lack of Polish language skills) I would be interested to know whether there are possible opportunities to be had.

I work in the legal profession in the UK, so at present, I don't know whether there are opportunities for UK lawyers, either working in Polish firms, european firms based in Poland or alternatively in-house for Polish companies expanding into wider Europe.

I would be interested to hear from any other UK nationals who have already made the move to poland, how they found it, how long it took to settle and where I should begin researching my interest! It wouold be good to hear from a few ppl with their experiences.
