Life / Warsaw - most boring capital in Europe, after Brussels - comments? [78]

I would like to write something too. After my trip to Warsaw I dont think it is a boring city. I think that is seems very monumental, everything is so big and serious. In compare with Krakow, maybe it is not so fun city and the city for the common tourists. The city itself is nice, but some of the high-rises does not have a good effect to the city look. For example, those huge grey commieblock-like towers visible from the centre. It is really unpleasant look.

Well, you are laughing, but the newspapers in Bratislava often compare Bratislava with New York and this is what I laugh about :) Anyway, Warsaw skyline looks good, I think, especially that PKIN reminds me ESB in NYC etc. The height of Warsaw skyscrapers is one of the highest in Europe, so this comparation was only metaphoric.

Personally I find Krakow as overrated as Paris. Give me Bratislava, Milan or Wroclaw any time.

Bratislawa-hitch-hiking in Brat-land.. ah the memories.

I'll have a stronger opinion after my trip to Bratislava.

Hang on - I have no plans to go to Bratislava.

Hello, guys. I would like to ask what did you mean by these posts, cause I don't get it :) I live in Bratislava and I am coming to Warsaw on Thursday so I would like to know what to expect. Is Warsaw really a boring city? I was in Krakow in 2006 and I liked it more than Prague and Budapest, but always wanted to see Warsaw too, even more than Krakow. I like the skyscrapers and Warsaw is something like European New York (and Bratislava is like Slovak Warsaw) :)

Travel / Pubs or disco in Wroclaw, Krakow, and Warszawa? [30]

Hello! I don't know if I am on the right place, but I am planning to visit Warsaw from 20 march to 23-24 march this year. I did not find much information about clubs and bars and other places in Warsaw, so I would like if somebody could help me with this.

Also, there will be 2 of us coming to this trip (we are from Bratislava and from Prague) and it could be fine if we found 2 nice ladies from Warsaw that could guide us to some interesting places :)

what about some oldies music clubs in Warsaw that are open on Thursday? hm?
