UK, Ireland / Life in the UK for some Poles (sad article) [124]

What about the morning after pill(technically the 72 hour after pill)?...... Or do all you men so against abortion consider even blocking the possibility of a pregnancy as infanticide?

Good point, how far do you want to take it? Should sex be solely for reproduction?

Essentially everyone has their own view point, but that doesn't give them the right to tell others what they can do.

I would find it very hard to be involved with an abortion, especially as I want to have kids, and I never want to be in that situation. However, if a partner if mine was pregnant, then I would have to respect her right to choose.

Pretty simple really.

U gotta question why the Poles ban abortion

Catholicism?

You must not have sex before marriage
You must not use contraception
You must not have an abortion

All very important morals for 21st Century living!

*Jova please note the sarcasm*

Look at it however you want, murder is murder. It's sick. I don't understand how the doctors who perform abortions can live with themselves.

I totally agree. I sometimes find it hard to live with myself in the knowledge that I used to kill thousands of potential children at least once a day as a 15-year old!

UK, Ireland / Are the Poles in England hated? [450]

0-3 Another reason i'm loving USA these days ;)

*to mods - please don't delete this post - I have no idea why the previous one was - it is a legitimate fun reply to a post on this board and in no way offensive - if it does indeed break site rules, could I at least be informed by private mail why this is - Thankyou in advance*

UK, Ireland / Will Polish names eventually become popular in the UK? [53]

I'm English but I want to name my children Leon and Kasia. I'm sure their mother (whoever she may be) will have something to say about it though.

I don't know if Leon is particularly Polish but it is a family name derived from my Great Grandfather who was a Polish Jew.

I'm sure there are many Polish men/women who will marry and have children with English men/women and so, given time, i'm sure Polish names will become more commonplace in England and the UK.
