i think that many people in Poland believe that if you look like something, this is you ang changing anything just to look better would be a kind of "cheating".

can't agree with you. As James mentioned, i think its the matter of 'not having the funds' rather than ' what other will'say - omg- she/he changed his nose'

Today in Poland, it is very rare indeed to find man living so long. Sixty five is the max. It is the harshness of the life and also, I am sure, the lead in the paint! I have smelt it everywhehe in Poland. It is outlawed in England but the Poles love their lead paint. The smell is dreadful and God only knows what they are breathing in.

do you live on MARS?? LOL where did you get this information? from a book wrote 30 years ago? LOL

Or.. you may easily find a polish folks who could teach you polish.. you could hang out with them, having fun and learning Polish in the same time without spending so much money for.. what you can have for free :)

right, permit for wearing the gun is indeed required and in most cases police dont agree for people to posses a gun - 'just coz they want to'. In most cases they advise to have a gas or paralizer.

Even cups do not have guns 'for their own' while off duty.

Life / Why is Poland so slow; it takes a lot of time to arrange anything here [53]

Just wondering why everything is SO SLOW in poland working here just outside poznan and it took 3 weeks to get a phone line still waiting for the internet after 5 weeks car been in garage 3 weeks even the shop workers are a joke most times.People in general are really nice just always get the answer maybe tomorrow why?????

I was once in the hospital in North part of Maine, waiting for a doctor to see my twisted knie - been waiting in pain for him for over 4 hours.No nurse, no ice on my knie, no painkillers. Call THIS slow!
