Life / Have always longed to live abroad, so I'm Moving To Poland [10]

I used to live in Sweden in the 80's and have always longed to live abroad again. Albeit a far cry from Sweden I am thinking of going over to Poland to live with my wife and 4 small children.

I am a Radio DJ and my wife is a nurse. How easy is it to get work there for someone who doesnt speak English,

having had enough of the UK. I feel the need for a change.

Also are the poles welcoming towards the Brits?

Any help and advice that can be given is greatly apreciated.

Thanks Steve

SORRY

Will use the search facility. I can now see this ? has been asked numerous times before.

Sorry all.

PS. Any radio stations there need a good UK dj?

LOL

Thanks

Sorry yes I meant I dont speak Polish. Its been a loooong day.

i am not a club DJ. I used to do that years ago now I am a presenter. having worked for some of the UK's large stations. My wife is a qualified Nurse RGN.

I have looked into getting the TEFL certificate and its a two day course. Is it really that easy to do a simple course, gain the qualification, then go over and teach? Would that one wage be sufficient to support a family of 6? My wife would obviously be looking after the children. I dont know who expensive it is in Poland to live.

I also saw an interiew of that British fireman in Poland who said he had been slapped in the face for speaking english in a pub there and also had his finger cut. :(

Thanks again folks, much obliged to you all
