Genealogy / Angiel, Michas, Garas, Bartlomiejczyk - Genealogy Searches in Poland [4]

Hi I'm new to the site.

I live in the U.S. My mother's family comes from Poland. I believe the town is Czyzemin, south of Lodz. Mother's maiden name was "Angiel". My Grandparents, Jozef Angiel and Agnieska Michas were married in a Catholic Church in Tuszyn in 1923. I have my great-grandparents names from there marriage certificate, Konstanty Angiel and Katarzyna Bartlomiejczyk and Michal Michas and Marianna Gieras respectively.

I'm at a loss where to go from here. Both my parents and were born in Germany after WWII and immigrated to the US as displaced persons. I'm told my family was able to get their land back after the war but don't know for certain this to be true. My mother, who speaks and writes Polish, has lost contact with family in Poland. Any advice on where to go ? I appreciate any help.

Genealogy / Angiel, Michas, Garas, Bartlomiejczyk - Genealogy Searches in Poland [4]

I presume my mom still has the last known address. I'll have to check with her. My uncle in Oklahoma is the only other sibling of my mom who lives in the U.S. Is there somewhere (web site) I can find local parishes to write for record searches ? Thanks for the ideas thus far. As simple as it is, I hadn't thought to ask my mom to write. I'd wanted to do as much searching on my own as I could.
