Food / Rogale świętomarcińskie (Martinmas crescents) [7]
Rogale świętomarcińskie are made of half-puss pastry, something between puss-pastry and yeast cake. They are decored with glace icing and peel.
Modern rogale filling is made of WHITE (never black) poppyseed, walnuts, sugar, cream and/or butter. Almonds, figs, dates, vanilla and raisins are commonly added.
