Travel / Camping in Poland - are there any laws? [47]

Well thankyou kindly for the replies..........

Perhaps then i should seek to pitch my tent on designated sites only.
However i am used to pitching my tent just before dark in forests and moving on at first light.........i cant really see the harm in that but i have to respect the law.I expect the consequences would be rather harsh too.

Thankyou.

Travel / Camping in Poland - are there any laws? [47]

Camping in Poland outside of the designed sites is forbidden but of course if somebody catches you... That somebody means forest ranger (which can end with a ticket)

By that you mean a payable fine Lukasz............how much?

Perhaps i could trek along the Baltic coast then,i imagine there must be legal campsites along the way, such as in Soport,Mielno etc etc.

But i thank you.

You have been very helpful Lukasz thankyou.
Perhaps now i will walk the coast, pitch the tent on the beach and maybe use a few camping sites so i can use the facilities.

If i have no problems.........i might consider a little wild camping in the forests and take my chances.
Thankyou anyway.

Anyone else had any experiences of wild camping here,or any others into wild camping/hiking who would'nt mind me tagging along.......let me know.

Regards.

Law / Polish Bank account? UK resident applying for permanent residency in Poland. [5]

Hi everyone,

i have been living in Poland for a while and will be applying for permanent residency.
I have read through the threads on here and it seems even now i would be able to open a bank account here with my passport and letter of tenancy.

I am still 'officially' a UK resident and have a Uk bank account at my parents address.

So i'm wondering whether it would be wise to open a bank account here in Poland and transfer my money from the Uk.I guess the transfer would cost approx £25,and then close the Uk bank account.Surely with the tax/interest i cannot be allowed to have a bank account in each country? I guess when i have permanent residency in Poland,i obviously will no longer be a Uk resident and therefore will not be able to legally keep that account.

I just need advise on the safest way to keep a large amount of money without seemingly breaking any laws.

Thanks in advance.
