Philipdd altered the history, but Polish reference to enigma is true.

Enigma was a major problem for the alliance intelligence department; therefore they put a lot of effort to break Nazi’s coded messages. And that were the Polish code breakers who first deciphered Enigma coded messages, and designed a fully operational copy of the original enigma. What in the end shortened the WW2 itself.

British claim that they first deciphered enigma, but they never refer to Polish blueprints they got their hands on before deciphering anything – history can be altered so easily…

To not stay in this gloomy WW2 topic I’ll humbly inform You about more up-to-date Polish creation. Polish scientists had a great influence on the development of the blue laser, now commonly used in BluRay disc readers. Idea itself was Japanese, but it was the Polish scientists who improved the technology enough to allow the construction of efficient blue laser, and in the end The PS3 console :)
