Language / Polish-speaking children and their slang [9]
Hello,
This is my first, and probably last time posting here; I had a quick question regarding slang in Polish. I am writing a fictional story, and in it, there is a child whose primary language is Polish.
What would a young Polish child call his mother and father? It seems to me that in English, as well as a few eastern-European languages, "Momma" and "Papa" are almost universal.
Is such the case in Polish? Would it make sense if I had the boy calling out, "Momma! Papa!" ?
