Food / Pierogi with fruit filling? [30]

I am of fullblood Polish hertitage. I recall eating dumpling full of fruit like apple cherry, plum, etc. I grew up with variations of perogi, to include apple and prune filling. And potato, kapusta, and farmers cheese as well. But I still (after decades)have not seen the fruit filled dumplings that impressed me as a kid. I have seen somekind of fruit filled dumpling in the frozen foods at a store in Scranton. Maybe I am confusing perogi with something else. I remember them on the huge table of food at Grandma's house at Christmas.

Food / Pierogi with fruit filling? [30]

Oh, got a good source in Elmira ,NY. The perogi are potatoe/cheese and saurkraut. They are really delicious. EXCELLENT! And it helps the church too. Will keep searching.
