Sir names in poland

A person's last name if in poland, does it have a meaning to it? Such as a carpenter, or shop keeper etc.? I am from usa and always wondered if my name was a name or when it orginated had a meaning to it. Does anyone know the meaning of kurowski? Thanks All

Life / School for 6 year olds an obligation in Poland soon? [19]

Bookratt
you have to be bloody high in ur idealism of home school learning. Maybe the PA. lifstyle and teachers are back country however it isnt so in minnesota. you make it sound that the children are cut off from all other activity's in life and not well rounded. What a awful explaination to people in other countries.

My next door neighbor has had all his children home schooled. Each one has made it thru college and all have extremely good jobs.

Life / What do you do for fun in poland? [15]

Where i am from during the fall and early winter i bow hunt, winter i ice fish and snowmobile, am not keen on skiing, of course ur occasional parties, spring is walking and hiking and fishing openning, As spring turns to summer its, Cycle riding with the guys and gals to various parts around the cities, summer its skydiving " when i sneek out and she doesn't know im doing it" and camping fishing and clicking the button" casino" BBQ's and partying some more.

So am curious what other people do in poland.
