European leaders must be aware that the process of integration with NATO runs parallel with enlargement of the EU. Failure at this week's NATO Bucharest summit to bring Ukraine and Georgia into the Membership Action Plan would be bad news not only for NATO, but also for the EU and might put at risk the construction of a stable European security system.

Crap! *rolls eyes*
The EU will live on happily without Ukraine or Georgia...believe me....:)

It would signal the loss of NATO's political purpose and significance on the security map of Europe and the world. The organization would irreversibly lose its stabilizing role.

Many people in Europe are wondering about the role of the NATO anyhow...
maybe we should slowly abandon it in favour of an EU action force...

Yeah..but you forget that even the ukrainians themselves are split on this question!

Why are you leaving out that little fact always?

What use is a NATO-member whose population is against the NATO?
What about another government in...say....5 years which heeds more to the wishes of it's people...they would want out again...That would make the NATO look ridiculous!

In comparison with February 2007, the number of opponents of Ukraine's membership of NATO fell by 9.9%.

According to the poll, 24.3% of Ukrainians would vote for Ukraine's joining NATO, against 16.9% in February 2007.

Maybe a referendum would bring clarity...

Then it's time to raise awareness about the products Made in China, don't you agree?
And why they are produced there and not here...under which circumstances they are being produced...all these small, little facts China want's to hide.

I think a broad movement can change this. A seller will offer products which sell, if "Made in China" doesn't sell anymore as well as before he will look for other products as alternatives...nothing will collapse but other producers will get a chance!

(Besides some cage somewhere in China maybe)

I have only source in Polish ... Neewsweek PL edition ... (Merkel Polsh roots)

There is no mention of it in Germany (and we should know, don't you think?).
And just because parts of her family stem from what is now in Poland doesn't make them polish..or having polish roots...

father of her mother Herlind Jentzsch was Germanisated Pole ... I have source in Polish and I see german tourists who like to visit his house ... Merkel admited this fact in Die Zeit.

Like I said....I can't find any source of this!

I wanted to say that Germans are Polonophobic and are not friendly ... some are ok but most of them don't like Poles ... and I was feeling realy bad there ... so I don't like them ...

Her father is Horst Kasner, her mother is Herlind Jentzsch, her grandparents on her mothers side lived in Elbing, East Prussia - that doesn't make them polish!

a lot of Polish friends of mine would love to visit Germany and maybe even work there, but when I ask them if they speak German, they answer that they don't because they hate the language.

Do they speak Dutch?
