History / Polish resettlement camps in Britain 1945 [82]

...
Polish 145
South Africans 25
Southern Rhodesians 3

And we and the Czechs were awarded with the present of communism for our gallant efforts! Brits need to take responsibility for their actions and stop pretending history doesn't exists. For Poland WW2 finished in 1989! Communism wasn't invited by us it was imposed on us!

cannot/will not admit that maybe, just maybe there were enough Poles willing to do Stalins bidding that not everything bad done in Poland was done by the russians or winston bloody churchill

Typically uneducated Brit confused by the history lessons he had at school!

Why are Brits so badly educated in European history!

its not that unusual, lots of leaders do it once they leave office or even while they are still active in politics. just look at the list of people who belong to CFR (Council on Foreign Relations)

He is one of the leaders of LiD and remains politically active! There is no justification for such a conflict of interest. It is, however, par for the course as far as he is concerned.

Global Leader Brings Exceptional Political Expertise
Washington, D.C. (October 4, 2007) – Aleksander Kwaśniewski, former president of Poland, joined APCO Worldwide's International Advisory Council (IAC), Margery Kraus, president and chief executive officer, announced today. Kwaśniewski guided Poland's transformation during the critical years following the fall of communism.

"President Kwaśniewski is the quintessential strategist statesman," Kraus said. "He brings deep understanding of contemporary politics and the challenges that face our global society. This unique perspective and expertise will add yet another level of insight to APCO's IAC and clients."

How can one of the leaders of a political party justify joining a global consultancy company!

Johan123 so why you are lauborer in London ??

For the cultural experience!

why have you changed Polson quote into mine.

I wasn't aware that I had changed anything! Sorry if I did!

So foccuses show that 80% (the bigest level from whole EU) of Poles are happy in EU, 20% can only write silly thinks on internet.

I am also a happy politically active member of the European community that takes a keen interest in its policies. A keen interest which allows me to comment on the many aspects that influence our society. It's all part of the democratic process that enables all of us to offer opinions freely!

Let's discuss the role of business consultants within areas of EU funding!

Let's to discuss why some EU citizens retired at 40 ish because they work for the state and others within the private sector work until 65

Let's discuss why a French cow receives more money than an African child in reference to subsidies

The suggestion of EU of having a Day Against Death Penalty is a good idea for exemple, where are the interests of Poland in vetoing it ??!

Countries within the EU are responsible for defending their own interests! France has always defended the rights of French farmers regardless of economic reality. The suggestion of having a "Day Against the Death Penalty" is a complete non issue as the death penalty doesn't exist within the EU. It once again an example of the the EU dealing with side issues in order to avoid real difficult issues such as lowering the above subsidies.

What are you talking about? Poland's image within Europe is dictated by interest groups that control the media within the EU. They have no reason to support a strong independent Poland as it effects their overall vision of a two tier Europe consisting of important and non important countries. Poland, under PiS, is able to formulate foreign policy based upon Polish interests.

The problem is that young people are massively against Kaczynski, but they don't vote ??...If they don't vote, it's gonna be the same as 2 years ago when the president was elected ! Move your a.s.s young people ! Go and vote !! ;p

Against Kacynski because of lack of real understanding of the issues in hand!

You can't say Kaczynski's foreign relations is a success...

It's an outstanding success! No one will dare take Poland for granted again!

Even tough Kwaśniewski is accused of being a communist, I'm far more decided to vote on him than on Kaczynski Jaro... :/
For Kaczynski family Poland is just a family business... that's so saaaad :((
Our beautiful country is becoming a huge business... but poles have less and less money in their pockets, and that's the sad thing.

Absolute Rubbish!

You seem to lack the cognative abilities understand political and economic reality!

The way that Jaroslaw the Gay uses his ego on the world stage is so embarrassing.

It's much more complicated than this! I have met and spoken to JK and all is not what meets the eye! I'll explain more later as I have to pop out.

Look at the last poll results!

PiS uzyskałby więc 228 mandatów, PO - 167, a LiD - 65.

Put money on PiS at 7-4! Understanding PiS requires a deeper understanding of Polish history. A History, which ultimately shapes the way JK feels towards Europe and Russia. JK's ability to read the overall mind-set of certain groups within Polish society is outstanding. Those groups, like it or not, feel the same way as JK and are willing to support PiS . The fact that KM has changed side will have little or no effect on the result. PiS will win the election with around 40%!

It is interesting if your family forefathers would agree with you! Lukasz

I m not worried about commies, All I think we need reforms ...

I think you're right...communism is past, the only thing that matter is future...it reminds of the time when Kaczynski told that Merkel was maybe a nazi or something like that...don't look over your shoulder, face the future !

Communism is alive and well in every French state office!

I m not worried about commies, All I think we need reforms ...

Reform is absolutely essential and we can agree on this!

I think you're right...communism is past, the only thing that matter is future...it reminds of the time when Kaczynski told that Merkel was maybe a nazi or something like that...don't look over your shoulder, face the future !

This is absolutely untrue!

Kaczynski isnt going to do something in this direction, he talks a lot, but as to work ...

This fight has become more difficult than anyone can imagine. The stakes cannot be higher! I have met the twins and am convinced their intentions are honourable and just! Europe is full of characters like AK. These people are ************. A *********** is much more dangerous than someone lying for he/she believes in nothing. A lie is something, which even the person telling us is aware of it's untruthfulness. PO has bought the ******** and swallowed it. The ******** being the fact that Poland can move forward without dealing with certains characters from its past. That these things should be left to rest. Never! These bastards must be brought to justice!

I am a supported of free maket economics, of a limited state, of a decentralised state, I will, however, forgo all the above to bring certain individuals to justice! Poland has no real future until these individuals, that I sometimes have had to deal with, are removed once and for all from public life!

We will never be able to build something in Poland unitil people like AK and his wide variety of cronies are put in prisons for their crimes against the Polish people. Stripped of pension rights, sue for mismanagement, and stopped once and forever from holding public office!

Prime Minister Francois Fillon warned Friday that the French state was nearing bankruptcy because of the many assistance programmes that it finances.

Communism has many shapes and forms!

Ok if this is how you think, so corruption is everywhere, as communism.

In certain European countries the level of corruption has never been higher!

Jonathan123, Their new president is going to reform their country, and I think this speach was to get support for their reforms

And he will receive my wholehearted support! The country has been decimated by social programmes and the employees of the French civil service

What do you think, succesful person will join PiS because they are nati-commie, and will accept bureaucracy, social economy, centralisation ... what is more, in their fight against commies they are uneficient ...

And Kaczysnki learned you his way of thinking, just because I m not going to vote on him you think I m form commie family. When I see it I know he is psychopate.

I am a highly sucessful person that is willing to forgo my support for a liberal economic programme because I will never except PO' support for former communists.

I understand you are disappointed with PiS's progress in the area. I do, however, understand the reasons for this slow progress.

I see you dont have arguments, so you atack France. Typical PiS

Prime Minister Francois Fillon warned Friday that the French state was nearing bankruptcy because of the many assistance programmes that it finances.

Fillon, speaking before a group of farmers in the French Mediterranean island of Corsica, said "this can't go on" and pledged to cut back state spending.

"I am at the helm of a state that is nearing bankruptcy. I am at the helm of a state that has been running a deficit for the past 15 years. I am at the helm of a state that has not adopted a balanced budget in 25 years," said Fillon.

President Nicolas Sarkozy this week unveiled plans to overhaul pensions for some public employees and to streamline the civil service, the boldest moves yet in his reform agenda since taking office four months ago.

Fillon reiterated that France must have a balanced budget by 2012.

"Otherwise we will not be able to build something solid, either in Corsica or in any other part of the country," said Fillon.

The prime minister was due to meet a group of Corsican nationalists later in the day to follow up on a promise by Sarkozy during a visit to the island to offer development aid in exchange for stability.

brought up in a society that is secretly corrupt in it's upper spheres

What a guess! France as well as be highly corrupt in it's upper spheres was up until the last election probably the last semi communist country in Europe! In the coming months or years we will finally see the dismantling of the mega French state whose privileges have nearly bankkrupt France!

PO will ultimately seek to form a coalition with L i D if they have the chance. LiD being full of old corrupt commies that will seek to destroy any of PO's policies. Communism needs to be absolutely destroyed before the country can move forward. The only party willing to do this is PiS.

Why when we are against PiS, you think we are communist ?? That doesn't make sense! I don't like communism and PiS either ! No problem :p

You must come from a different country! Your cognative abilities inable you to understand the complicated issues at hand. It may be because of your age or the fact that you have be brought up in a society that is secretly corrupt in it's upper spheres
