Absolutely agree. If people are happier finacially they would pay less attention to social issues such as abortion etc, eventhough those issues are important, they cannot overshadow the importance of a healthy economy.

i agree that is prioroty number one...employment, wages, and a decent highway or two

now we have to wait for first actions of new gov. :)

never said that it would, I was talking about a Dutch families experience in Holland, the age of consent is something like 13, the laws are so liberal it makes it easier for paedophiles to prey on children. I never mentioned homosexuals, that has nothing to do with it. I was just commenting on one dutch families experience that has made them move to another country to live

I have been to Amesterdam and I think that it would be hard to live there for longer time ... ;)

it's not because there are more of them that they left, it's because the laws in Holland make it harder to protect children from them

I dont think that events like EURO PRIDE in 2010 will change Poland into pedophiles paradise ...

Honestly our liberals in Holland would be conservatives ...

as to political climate in Poland :

I feel that the most important issue now is money, Poles want more money, more comfortable life, stronger economy etc.

I think discussions about abortion, church, history, homosexuals exist but defiantely economy is main issue now.

yes it is problem for everybody the same as it was when Asia had crisis. What is important after this crisis USA partly will lost position and Europe and Asia will gain more influence ... what doesnt change fact crisis in USA is dangerous for whole world ...

I just dont understand why you deffend so much USA Dollar, the fact is that it is problem for everybody, you decided to invide Iraq and you dont have enought cash so you sell bonds but in the same moment you gave problem with mortgages and you lowe rates ... Whole world look at you and think if you can deal with it ...

you should notice that Russia was one of the last countries on West (Mongolians came form Asia) Mongolians occupied ... they havent occupied Poland ... so It seams ok you feel so many connections with ancient Mongolian warriors :)))) ;P

Hello the fact is that USA is richer than Poland ... and we dont discusse it ... the other thing is that we are closer western standarts of life than it was few years ago ...

Offcourse USA is richer country but we would have more problems with weak Euro becuase we export our products mainly to Euro Zone, and we have some debts in $ so it will be easier to pay it (F-16 is nice example) ...

I found once comment in Net article that Komsomolskaya pravda wrote that in the Russian imagination there are graphic images of migrants from Central Asia and the North Caucasus fighting against the Chinese for influence in Siberia.

we know that Russians are really worried about China and their Syberia ... If China is thread for Poland :))) I dont think so ... as to Russians, that is why we know that their threads that they can sell their gas/oil to other places than EU is good joke, they can sell it for China but main reciver will be Europe becuase it is the best for Russia safety ...

as to Chinese people in Poland :)) they think about money and their business I dont think buddism is going to be thread :))) as to me they are perfect imigrants

in case of Iran USA - EU will hold one line ... you will see, and I m not discussing if Iran is real thread or if Poland should care about Iran ... I just noticed fact

If Americans want to go to Poland, they better hurry because next year the dollar will be worth about 1 zl. It is dropping drastically.

Sarkozy's complaints that the U.S. currency's drop against the euro is undermining European competitiveness.

maybe it is problem for some of EU countries ... but for Poland it is good business, part of our debt is in $, we have to pay for F-16 in $, our export to USA is very small ...

but weak Russia means hollydays in Poland ...

to win over the USA you need control of resources, namely natural gas and oil. the oil-dollar cycle is what keeps the US military afloat. Iraq was invaded not only because they had oil but because they started selling their oil for euros instead of the dollar, which every OPEC country is theoretically required to do. as soon as Iran hinted that it is interested in trading oil for euros, it became the next target.

French will give them soldiers ...

you are assuming Europe wants to get married to an out-of-control debt junkie who spends all of his money on guns and toys. Sounds like a marriage made in hell, no thanks, you can keep America haha..

honestly USA should treat EU in different way as it was in the past, but I think in some cases we should cooperate ... EU has to be equlal partner for USA. and on economical level we should try to use free market to win over them ...
