Love / Polish Engagement and Wedding Traditions [42]

i think its best to assume that all Polish guys over a certain age (not sure what that age is.. maybe 28?) are married.

Well bang go my chances then i'm well over that age. lol

Remember to check his right hand too..this one caught me out.

The Polish guy i kissed all New years Eve wasn't wearing a ring but found out he's married.
And yes taken the ring off.

No wonder i'm not having any luck getting close to the Polish guys. I wear my nan's wedding ring on my right hand. They most probably think i'm married. Worn it since the year she died never taken it off. (Sorry nan but think it will have to come off)

UK, Ireland / Polish girls 'too pretty' for British schools [150]

I'm just curious how all those guys in a club can tell if a girl is Polish or not?

I can tell who the Polish guys are by just looking, they just have that eastern european look but my 2 friends can't and are amused when i say he's Polish and i'm always right,

Study / Good News - I start on a Polish course on Tuesday. [12]

It's in Yeovil Somerset. The man i spoke to says they started it last November because the Police, local business and some public came forward wanting to learn. There are only about 8 on the course at the moment. It's just a turn up and start learning thing no set weeks. They are trying to promote a unity thing between the locals and the Polish community.

Life / What Polish kids do after school? [9]

Frubagirl is that in any school or just Polish.
I work in a secondary school in england, like a high school in america. Our children do some after school clubs but most are done over lunch, because most of the children live outside of town and get buses to school.

Theres not much to do for children in this country. They might have Youth Club once a week. This is were they can meet and sometimes play games. Otherwise the children tend to do there own thing.

From the age of 14 they can get a job, paper round or something small like on a Saturday. They are limited to the amount of time they can work and they need permission from school.

As for chores some children have to do them some don't. I'm a single mum and my 2 boys have been brought up to help around the house. They hoover, do the washing, look after the dog, they can even cook and they are 12 and nearly 14. We share the chores in our house.

i hope that was the sort of thing you wanted. :-)
