News / What did Poland get out of the wars and struggles for others? [1108]

So why did you bother fighting Germans for so long and hard?

Im much to young to have had anything to do with WII

Do you actually think before you say things?

English is my second language.

Very sensible of you, given that your first is largely useless

Real Estate / Accommodation - Legal advice request [15]

Bags outside, locks changed. End of

I now won't touch a Polish woman with a barge pole!

A lot of men seem to learn this the hard way

The moral of the story is that if you want your freedom, you have to fight for it.

Like Britian did.

If you let another country walk all over you, like Poland did twice in the last centruy, you really have no one to blame but yourselves.

To try and divert this blame only adds insult to injury of a meaningless national pride.

Ok I have given many examples of Poland fighting outside Poland for the allie troops.

Perhaps. But you have yet to answer the simple question you were asked. Do that and people might start taking you a little more seriously. Not me though, I can see through your sham

Now how's this for a silly question? Do you think Polish were fighting and dying for ha ha's. Please give credit where credit is due.

Carol if you actually bothered to read questions and then give an appropriate answer, people might have a little more respect for you

It’s just another example of this one way system displayed by some Englishmen - they can joke about other nations, look down on them, insult them, etc. but are not ready to bear with the same from the the foreigners…. criticism seems to be too much already.

Have you heard of Hells Kitchen?

Well imagine the UK as Gordon Ramsey who is in the kitchen with all these annoying insignificant little fuks who think they know what theyre doing but actually havent got a fukin clue.

Gordon gets pretty tired of telling them where they are going wrong. They might get there eventually, but in the meantime, as Gordon shows us, you have to tell them just what incompetent little fuks they are in order to slap them in to shape

Poland is one of those annoying insignificant little fuks. One that still thinks it knows best.

Fukin twats. As Gordon would say

Diplomacy, negotiations and smart alliances instead of stubborness would have maybe got them farther....just an idea.

But as we could already observe in the EU THIS particular polish feature is alive and well...

Exactly.

A bunch of wind up merchants who dont learn from their mistakes and then moan about it

Strange assuption ... In my opinion Poland and France would beat you and everything would be ok.

Whilst we can argue that Poland and France might have beaten Germany on paper, when it came to the crunch both countries pussied out pretty quickly and needed to be rescued by those with the courage to fight. History shows this quite clearly, theres nothing to be done that can change this

Darius darius darius, please

Whilst the British might be attacked for their country's politics, with the Polish its something different, you are disliked for who you are as a people. Naturally I would like to say it's nothing personal, but by all accounts, it is...

Language / POLISH LANGUAGE POLICE? [9]

Just like most things in Poland, the language is much more complicated then it really needs to be

Scrap it and start again, just like most things in Poland

Polish Squadrons in Battle of Britain

Yes yes, everybody knows Britian gave Poles the opportunity to fly in our Air Forces and didnt charge for the privilige, nor did we send you a bill for all the planes you crashed after we allowed you to use them to regain some of you wounded pride

And where's the thanks we got?

Life / Możdżer Danielsson Fresco [12]

The best live music I have ever heard has been jamm sessions in Poland.

When I take friends to hear these sessions and they ask how long these guys have been jamming, and the answer is they met tonight, then you know they are on to a good thing

Heres Leszek at a jamm session in papryka

and another at sfinks

Both of them were great nights :)

If you haven't listened to this, you really should

It's an excellent example of one of Poland's top musicians playing at his very best

Well worth the effort

USA, Canada / The 2nd Amendment (USA), the right to own guns [261]

Very British English.

Franek may well be a geriatric old dribble, but he is not very British English - for a start he cant spell colour proper like innit which pretty much proves the point

I have absolutely no respect for Franek and his prehistoric opinions but the forum benefits from his contributions, if only to keep the likes of me amused

I will join Wroc in asking that Franek continues posting here
