really can,t imagine an electric vehicle

Too many batteries sitting arround poluting the water. Batteries do not last long enough! 5.7 L is way more engine than anyone needs. Turbo and supercharging gets the same results with less Litre. I do understand the symphony under the hood though.... Big block V8 power!

incidents will drive up the price of oil...

that is a good point. Though the Saudis have always relied on the rest of the world to protect them. The only kick but coutry over there is Israel.

ALl such grand ideas. The problems lie in the lack of significant action by the ship owners and governments We have become a world of pick the battles and the hell with everything else. Maybe Poland can put a force togehter and get paid well to stop it. People have e become so afraid of making a stand.

No one died from this event either It is the people behind the technology that are the most dangerous Coruption and that sort of thing. Study the new reactor designs. CHernobyl ! Can not happen! I have seen the pictures of the people there. They have suffered greatly. However, so has the little girl of my neighbor who had the frying pan of hot grease dumped on her head by accident. Then there are all the wars and devastation to people from them. and so on there will always be times of great suffering Chernobyl should always be rembered as why this technology is dangerous and must me regulated with great care and in the world today is just that. Chernobyl was a mistake and so was the Ford Pinto. many deaths Yet me must prevail as humans. we can not continue to polute the world with coal fired plants Far more people will suffer than only those a t Chernobyl.

My belief that nuclear power was a good idea took a bit of a dive during those visits

On the contrary. ( and I do not often dissagree with you) Should not your belief in the soviet philosophy be the real problem. They are the one who built the plant with a flawed design. I do not think this design exists anywhere else in the world. The new engineering designs with the automatic shut down that can not fail will be here to stay and we need more of them. Several more of them. All run by pols of course.

Well now , I am not about to go and try to tell a bear where to poop. The bear can poop where they please to do so.

The celebration of the dead brings back much sorrow, perhaps this is why halloween is a big poof, such to distract from the reality of lost loved ones. Is it better to forget the loss of those dearly to achieve a better inner self hapiness and go on with what is next. We can not bring them back Only join them!

Polonia / Polish travel to Morocco [7]

Do Poles travel much to this area? I am told it has a nice Atlantic front and poles do not frequent this area because it is primarily Islamic. I sthis hog wash so to speak Anyone on PF no otherwise. Thi is the question for the week.
