Law / Some questions about running a Hostel in Krakow [28]

I sent an email to to the manager of the hostel which is for sale...here is the answer of the guy

'' The asking price is 300k Euro, it is negotiable and can potentially be paid over a length of time.

The Krakow hostel is on a 10-year rental contract with 9 years remaining, though it may be re-negotiated in the next few weeks back to a full 10 years.''

so Now Can somebody tell me, I will pay 300K Euro for what? to be able to have the right to rent the estate for 10 years? did ı understand right?

Law / Some questions about running a Hostel in Krakow [28]

Yes Sean I totally agree with u...I like to meet with different people from all over the world, discovering new cultures and people makes me always excited.I can pass my whole life in such business ı think.in fact there is a hostel which is runned by my friends parents in a mountain area in Poland, ı dont remember the regions name at the moment, I may work for them for a while coz as ı heard they were looking for somebody who will work for them coz they r quite old now and need help...I had been in Zakopane once and have fun there, but Zakopane sounds like busy in winter the most, for a season business...May be ı m wrong, ı dont know how it looks there in summer, is it crowded again? And when u compare Krakow and Zakopane which can be more economic for me to start such business?

Life / How long can I survive with 60.000 zloty in Poland? [13]

Depends on where you go in Poland and how you want to live. For Warsaw, living alone, I guess you need about 3000 a month to live well. For a village in the country side, 1000 might be enough. Yes, usual wages for shop attendants, etc are only a bit more than 1000. In general I think for two years 60,000 PLN is more than enough!

I m planning to live in Katowice...but the polish course will be in Krakow so ı have to go there daily :( and there will be train ticket costs too...

it's really hard to tell how long you can survive on 60,000 zł in Poland, I know people who spend that much in 6 months and people who could live on that money for +4 years, it depends on how much you spend at your home, I guess the differences in prices between Poland and Turkey aren't that big (but I only guess, I've never been to Turkey).

Yes they r similar at prices...And u know what I was thinking about? The interest rates in Turkey are about %14 in a savings account for Turkish Lira. And it is quite good ratio..and 60.000 zl makes about 34.000 TL.so the interest I can get from a turkish bank monthly is about 400 ytl so it is about 317 USD per month...how is the idea keeping the money in Turkish bank and sending it to Polish bank monthly?will it cost alot this transfere?but anyhow it will much more than the polish bank interests ı think

Life / How long can I survive with 60.000 zloty in Poland? [13]

these are the rates per month righ?I meaned if ı put 60.000 zl I will get 27 USD per month right?it is nothing...And according to my research average monthly wage in Poland is about 1000 zl...so I may have a chance to survive in Poland about 2 years, with the money ı have, even ı pay for the monthly kitchen expenses sometimes....

Life / How long can I survive with 60.000 zloty in Poland? [13]

I would be glad if somebody who is experienced about the life in Poland can give me an idea of how long I can survive with 60.000 zloty in Poland?İt wont include the cost of accommodation, coz ı will have a place for free..and dinners in evenings will be out of charge....in addition ı want to take a polish language course full time for 5 days of week and it will cost about 3000 euro..and this will be the biggest amount of my expenses at once u suppose (ı hope:)....I m thinking about not living so super lux but not so poor too, to visit important cities sometimes, and like ı drinking..so when u r giving ideas if u care the infos ı give here, can u make a approximate guess about how long can ı survive? And do u have an idea about the interest rates in Polish banks for USD and EURO...thank u all for help

Life / Black American Living In Poland [283]

I m turkish.I was in poland last year for few months to visit my fiance...I have a dark skin,I felt that I m a famous person in poland when I was walking at strees, coz all people were staring at me:) but it wasnt sthg disturbing me..I just feel that they rnt get used to see dark skin people around...this is a kind and polite nation as ı observed...and ı dont think that u will face with any problem

hehehee...bojownik, u have some right comments on turks, I have to accept it altough I m a turkish...but u cant accuse whole nation for individual behaviours of some idiots...it is right that we r not european but we r not totally asian too...may be thats the problem of turkey...we r in the middle of two sides..I wonder if u ever visited Turkey?or r u like the ones whom I met in Polish universities ask me if we use camels at transportation and whole Turkey is covered with deserts...I was really astonished in Poland how people who study in university cant have at least some geographic knowledge where there is deserts and where not.....it was strange for me...I advice people to visit and see the reality...How can people make comments about people and countries they had never seen?I cant understand...of course I m not telling u everything is fine here, but not so bad as u told or u r taught....First of all We r not arabic..prosze cie...and we dont use arabic alphabet or camels...we dont have camels...we like gossips, mostly rude at daily life to eachother, hospitable to foreigners...our foods r great thats why we mostly have big asses...yogurt u eat everyday in poland is Turkish product and real pronounciation is yoğurt and it is without fruit in reality, ı m sure most of u havent tried the real great taste...we give political rights to women like attending elections in 1937 much more before the countries,u call today as civilized european nations...like switzerland...We had a great legendary leader named Atatürk,may be most of u never heard....establisher of Turkish republic....yeah,we have a high crime ratio here..so people who wants to visit must be careful...especially the biggest city İstanbul...one of the most beautiful and dangerous cities of the world....

AND KEBAP U EAT THERE İSNT REAL KEBAPPPP...ı couldnt solve yet whats that disgusting thing:)but people like it anyhow,ı see kebap shops always crowded there..
