Life / An understanding of how people go out in Poland [4]

What does a normal evening out sound like? What sort of place would you go to and what would you drink?

What are the most popular alcoholic beverages in Poland among young people (18-30) and how many units would a person normally drink when going out?

What are the most popular days for going out and when do the bars, nightclubs etc. normally close?

Do young people tend to drink more when they are out than at home?

1. sounds like music....maybe hip hop - jazz - dance....whatever you're into will be the sound of the night :) Pubs/club/lounge
2. Beer is quite popular. Women have it with juice. Vodka is a popular shot. All depends on what you want to drink. There's mostly everything.

3.Picking a night can all depend on what's going on where. I've been out thurs night and it was more crowded than Sat night. I think weekends are normally the party nights. most close at 3-330 am

4. The evening usually starts at a house/flat with some shots or drinks because it's cheaper than buying all at the bar.

I'm sure there are many other suggestions as to what people do, but I just gave you my 2 cents :)

have fun.

It's an event where you have to create something bu hand that you think will fly. I'd imagine that you have to be ok at engineering. It'll be June 1 at Malta in Poznan. Maklta is an artificial ski slope.

News / Should we change the rules to let Poles join the British Army? [119]

Yooooo! Right? They are the definition of extreme. I've never seen anything like this and lucky enough not in person. They are hard core when it comes to the crucifying. I saw a documentary on this not too long ago.

It was a little bit of that and when they yell ( many were high ranking) it's almost funny. They are very nice people and never had an issue....except for maybe the food they tried to make me eat in the Phillipines.

Life / Warsaw - most boring capital in Europe, after Brussels - comments? [78]

I rather imagine anyone trying the Bow n arrow thing would be charged with murder ......I hope :)

Hahaha reminds me of when I was a boy riding my bicycle down the street and having an arrow skim off the frame. Some neighborhood bully actually tried to shoot me with one of these.

Hack drivers- hack golfers...we have plenty of hacks :)

Hispanics in todays US.Army, but I rather imagine they speak english as well as Spannish.

This is very true. When I served, there were a lot of Latino and Philippino enlisted and they all spoke english. Some had a heavy accent, but as long as they understood the language it was ok. It was difficult at times to understand each other, but we got used to it.

No way... an ancient law that hasn't been tested during this day and age? Say someone actually did this, do you think it would hold up in court? Interesting. Do you have a lot of ancient laws that still exist? I heard once that it's illegal to die in the Parliament blgd.....fantastic :)

News / What do Polish friends think of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton? [226]

Yeah, but I do like the way he speaks :) He's very articulate and handles debates very well. He definitely needs to explain more about how he's going to bring about this "change". To be honest with you, I think that anyone will be better than the idiot we have representing us now. I may run :)

News / What do Polish friends think of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton? [226]

I am coming from the women dominated household

Myself, I will vote for Clinton without hesitation

No surprise there. The majority of women are voting for her just because she's a woman. That's just stupid. If that's not your reason, I do apologize.

There must be a suppressed feeling of hate toward oppressors

Come on. There may be a few, but generation after generation, the feeling goes away and people move on with their lives. Do you think he'd screw the country over to get back at opressors? Get real...

sounds good but i think the race issue will come even more evident in the upcoming months. look who is voting for obama.

No doubt. I think it will get ugly.

I'm still not sure about who I'm voting for, but if we have a black president, do you think that we'd be even more of a laughing stock?

...if McCain was voted I think people would realize that nothing is going to change...GB endorses him...that doesn't say much.
