sorry Z,but thats BS,wages havnt increased significantly in years,in fact,wages for the type of jobs most Poles and other immigrents start off in are actually much smaller now. Example,a warehouse worker in the late 90s was on about £7.50- £8.00 an hour,now the average wage is just over £6.00.

The bulk of the Raf's fighter pilots (atleast 70%) flew Hurricanes

clever boy....two indead did start the war on Hurricanes,one in Battle of france and Battle of britian,the other only in the battle of britain,they like their cousin,went on to finish the war flying later mk spitfires...

Please provide names of all your relatives that flew so i may check them with the Imperial War Museams archive.

too simplistic....the initial phase was liberation,that is,kiking the gitlerittes all the way back to the lair of the fascist beast etc,trouble is,staying on in Poland for 60 odd years is kinda occupation......and before you say it,yes,the west had forces based in Germany for the same length of time but "we" didnt impose our poitical will or ideolagies on those liberated countries(actually,wait,yes we did,france,a inch away from communisim,gets de gaulle as a dictator....ah well,such is life...)

Isnt it almost a foregone conclusion that any Polish citizen of germanic extraction would have volunteered for the Germans.

actually,no,it isnt,there were many "germans " who served the Polish army loyaly in '39 and either died fighting for Poland or ended up in nazi camps as "traitors to the reich".
