Looking for Decendants of my great, great grandfather, Mikolaj (Nicholas) WARYSZCZAK. Born around 1867 in Kulaszne. I think his wifes' name was Marie.

He might of moved the USA early 1900's.

I think he had at least one child, Katarzyna WARYSZCZAK.

Extracts from the Ellis Island website.

Kulaszna is a village of the Bieszczady region, before WWI "Galicia" part of the Austria-Hungarian Empire.
Look at "Akcja Wisla" in English "Operation Vistule " for more news what happened in 1947.
Maurice.

Thanks for the Ellis Island Info.

From the searching i've done so far, i've been unable to find anywhere or anyone with the surname that has settled in the USA. Sofia, seems to have 'special' numbers in her manifest that suggest its for residency.

Back to Poland, seems that the one place that 'my family' stayed in for generations was Kulaszne - but so far I havent had luck locating any WARYSZCZAKs'.

This surname is scattered throughout Poland, but knowing that doesnt help if i dont have a physical address, or email so that i can write.
